After having departed Mustafar, an unconscious Padmé Amidala was brought to a medical facility by Obi-Wan Kenobi to give birth to her two children. After Padmé passed away, Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Bail Organa wisely chose to send the children into hiding in order to protect them from both their father and The Emperor.
